Every Horror Movie

A thickened fog surrounds me
As I try to run so quiet.
It's impossible to navigate,
And yet I have to try it
For a madman hunts me silent
In these woods, and if I cry it
Will surely be my painful, bloody doom.



To think that only yesterday
I walked among the living
In need of transportation,
Did a local search, and given
A time and place to meet
I went alone. The car test driven,
Then he kidnapped me and brought me to this gloom.



I can hear him right behind me.
I stand frozen in one place.
He is searching, arms are flailing,
Fingers inches from my face.
One last flail and then he back tracks.
Is he giving up the chase?
I fight to hold back one tremendous sigh.



Now I've found the road to freedom,
To my home I know it's leading.
I wave to the car approaching
And don't realize it's speeding
'Til it's too late to avoid it.
Now I'm on the pavement bleeding.
His wicked face is smiling as I die.
